Jungle Theatre Company cannot put on theatre shows for children or run drama clubs due to lock down and social distancing. JTC’s artists are staying creative by recording African Folktales in English, Afrikaans, and isiXhosa and developing FREE online resources.
The resources give children an exciting experience of storytelling as an audio or video. They can also read illustrated e-books and do activities that get them re-telling the stories in their own words and expressing themselves.
These resources teach us about our cultural and natural heritage; offer valuable life lessons; develop imagination, listing skills, and literacy as well as bring relief through humour and fun.
