Institute for Creative Arts launches 3rd LIVE ART Festival
The Institute for Creative Art’s (ICA) launches the international LIVE ART Festival 2017. The third in a series of biennial festivals, LIVE ART 2017 showcases a gathering of artists from across the continent will be performed across the Mother City from 10 to 25 February 2017.
The 2017 programme features screenings, performances, artworks and interactive installations by over thirty contemporary artists and curators, including: Standard Bank Young Artist Award-winners Donna Kukama and Anthea Moys; Nigerian multimedia artist, Jelili Atiku; choreographer and performer, Mamela Nyamza; British-Ghanaian visual artist, Larry Achiampong; Mozambican artist and choreographer, Panaibra Gabriel Canda; Zimbabwean choreographer and performer, Nora Chipaumire; and South African performance artist, Steven Cohen.
The 2017 Live Art Festival is supported by the University of Cape Town, Iziko Museums of South Africa, Pro Helvetia, the British Council Connect ZA and the Goethe-Institut Lagos.
